Y tú, ¿Tienes autoestima?

¿Qué es la autoestima?

La autoestima es un concepto muy complejo y que puede aplicarse a muchos aspectos. Para definirlo de una forma sencilla: es el auto concepto que tenemos de nosotros mismos.

¿Cómo consigo autoestima?

La autoestima no es algo que sea estable, sino es algo muy variable. La clave para tener una buena autoestima es aceptarse a uno mismo tal y como es. Vamos a ser claros no hay nadie perfecto…algunos somos muy temperamentales, otros muy tímidos, otros muy impacientes y podríamos seguir con un interminable etcétera.

Uno de los puntos clave para tener una buena autoestima es sentirnos capaces y valiosos. Sentirse capaz es proponerse un objetivo e ir a por él sin mirar atrás. Hay muchos propósitos y sueños, que realmente son difíciles de conseguir y es raro conseguirlos a la primera. Pero, ¿cómo reaccionas cuando no todo sale como esperabas?

Para muchos lo más fácil es echarle la culpa a los demás. No lo he conseguido porque no me han ayudado, ¿cómo lo voy a conseguir si todos son mejores que yo?, si no puedo conseguirlo pues haré otra cosa…

Así no vamos bien, no nos estamos valorando. ¿Por qué otro puede conseguirlo y tú no? ¡Actúa ya! Para de quejarte y hacerte la víctima así no vas a ningún lado. Estas maltratando a tu propia mente.

La clave: Pasión

Para sentirte capaz y valioso es importante tener una pasión en la vida, algo que queramos y que nos llene completamente. Algunos desde pequeños tienen clara su pasión, y otros como yo, la vamos descubriendo a lo largo del camino. Una pasión puede ser un hobbie, puede ser un trabajo, puede ser una forma de vida…Es importante reflexionar sobre qué es lo que nos llena y crear consciencia de que queremos luchar por ello.

Por ejemplo, si mi objetivo es ser un fotógrafo profesional, ¿qué opciones tengo?

Opción 1

Pienso que hay mucha gente en el sector trabajando de esto y que por tanto no tengo ninguna opción. Me resigno y hago otra cosa que NO me hace feliz.

Opción 2

Intento formarme lo máximo posible.
Investigo sobre las nuevas tendencias.
Ahorro para comprarme una cámara en condiciones.
Miro videos tutoriales en Youtube.
Contacto con profesionales del sector a través de Linkedin.

¿Cómo es la actitud de las personas que tienen autoestima?

Normalmente las personas con una buena autoestima, luchan y se creen capaces de conseguir aquello que se proponen. No tienen miedo de salir de la zona de confort. Por eso con este post, quiero animaros a qué salgáis de ella. Lo que nos satisface está más allá de esa barrera que nos ponemos a nosotros mismos.

El primer paso para salir, para buscar aquello que me hará feliz es pensar: ¿ Qué quiero conseguir? (Por ejemplo: dónde quiero estar, en qué condiciones, con quién, etc). Es interesante fijarse un objetivo a medio plazo (entre 3 meses y 12 meses para conseguirlo). Una vez establecido deberemos establecer pequeñas acciones en nuestro día a día.

Y muchos de vosotros diréis: Si yo mis ideas las tengo clarísimas pero a la hora de la verdad no me da tiempo, me da pereza o antepongo otras cosas. Ante esto yo te propongo que te pongas FECHAS. Es muy importante! Sin presión no hay resultado o ¿acaso eras de los que estudiaba 3 meses antes para los exámenes? Además también recomendaría que contarás a tus amigos o personas más cercanas tu objetivo ( si ellos lo saben tendrás una motivación extra).

Un consejo: Planificadores semanales

Para ayudaros a conseguir vuestro objetivo a medio plazo os recomiendo los planificadores semanales como los que ofrece Mr. Wonderful (que son muy motivadores) en el cual deberéis poner vuestros pequeños objetivos semanales. Si vais cumpliendo vuestros objetivos a corto plazo llegareis a conseguir vuestro objetivo a medio plazo, el cual es mucho más difícil. Aquí os adjunto el link. Sería interesante ponerlo en algún sitio visible de vuestra habitación para ser conscientes de ello. Además para fomentar AÚN más vuestra motivación pondría alguna foto relacionada con mi objetivo final para que cada vez que la vea pienses: ¡Voy a por ello!

Aunque pongamos un objetivo algo complicado, es primordial tener en mente todo lo que habéis conseguido hasta ahora ya que muchas veces nos infravaloramos. Pon un poco de energía positiva y deja que todo fluya.

Tú eres capaz, tú puedes con todo aquello que te propongas. Keep growing, Keep moving!
